— Common Issues

What we watch for on Macan, Cayenne & Panamera.

Daily-use demands and more complex systems mean a different wear pattern than the sports car lineup.

ISSUE / 01

Air Suspension Wear

Compressors, air struts, and lines wear with age and mileage — caught early through routine inspection.

ISSUE / 02

Timing Chain Tensioner Wear

Certain V6 engines are known for this — a cold-start rattle is usually the first sign.

ISSUE / 03

Electrical & Infotainment Faults

More onboard systems mean more potential fault points — factory diagnostics isolate the actual cause.

— FAQ

Common questions from Macan, Cayenne & Panamera owners.

How often should I change the oil in my Macan, Cayenne, or Panamera?

Porsche recommends oil service every 10,000 miles or annually, whichever comes first, using an oil that meets your specific Porsche spec. We use Mobil 1 and Liqui Moly oils matched to your model and year.

Common signs include the vehicle sitting unevenly or lower than normal, a rougher ride, compressor running longer or more often than usual, or a suspension warning light. We diagnose the specific component before recommending repair.

Certain V6 engines in the Cayenne and Macan lineup are known for timing chain tensioner wear. Symptoms include a rattling noise on cold start. We inspect for this as part of routine diagnostics.

We service the full lineup — every Cayenne generation since its 2003 introduction, every Macan since its 2014 introduction, and every Panamera generation, including hybrid and Turbo variants.
